It's officially 2024, and that means you have an opportunity to spend more time on the slopes than you did last year. The best part? It doesn't have to feel like a resolution or challenge! Here are a few great ways to reach your skiing and snowboarding goals as we embark into the new year at Whitefish Mountain Resort.
1. Ski after work or extend your day on the slopes!
Under the stars and stadium lights, guests of all ages can access the slopes under Chairs 2, 3 and 6, as well as the terrain parks (conditions permitting)! This winter, we’re offering night skiing every Friday and Saturday through March 2. Night skiing starts at 4 p.m., when our other lifts close, and runs until 8:30 p.m. Night skiing is included with a season pass and free for children 6 and younger!
2. Track how much you ski or ride!
Want to break a personal record or see how your skiing habits stack up against your friend's? Our online vertical tracker shows how many days and (roughly) how many vertical feet you've skied throughout the season, along with other fun stats! But please remember, this tool is just for fun and estimates your vertical travel based on season pass scans.
3. Sign up for a mountain event!
Lapping your favorite runs may never get old, but why not branch out and sign up for a fun event? Meet new friends and work up a sweat at our Wednesday Night Skimo League, show off your freestyle skills in one of our low-key terrain park contests, or go fast in one of our popular racing events, like the Nate Chute Banked Slalom & Boardercross. And don't forget to end the season with a splash at our annual Pond Skim!
4. Sharpen your skills with a lesson!
Our Ski & Ride School offers lessons for all ages and skill levels. Whether you're just starting out or you've been skiing for years, you can gain some useful tips from one of our friendly and knowledgeable instructors. Want to graduate from "pizza" and "French fries" or learn to how to navigate black-diamond terrain? We can help you progress at your own speed.
