Group Lessons

Children meet friends and make memories in our group lessons. Kids will be grouped according to ability and goals, so that they can explore and improve with confidence.

Cancellation Policy - Group Lessons must be cancelled 24 hours before lesson time. A cancellation fee of $25 will be charged to those who have not cancelled in time, and there are no exceptions.

No-Shows You will be charged for the full amount of your reservations; remaining reservations canceled.

Private Lessons

Book your private ski school lesson in advance by calling 406-862-2909. Our snow sports team is happy to walk you through our various lesson options and book you into the appropriate lesson.

From first timers up to experts, private instruction is the best way to improve your skills. We'll also help you become familiar with Whitefish Mountain Resort's amazing and varied terrain. Lessons are available for all ages and ability levels. Up to 5 people may participate in a private lesson for the same rate. We offer Alpine, Snowboard, Freestyle, Race, Telemark and Adaptive lessons. Reservations are highly recommended. A $100 deposit will be collected at the time of booking, to be applied to lesson payments. Cancellations received with less than 24 hours' notice will forfeit the $100 deposit.

Adaptive

We have adaptive-certified instructors trained to teach skiers or snowboarders with a variety of physical and cognitive disabilities. Our rental shop has a selection of adaptive rental equipment.

Reservations are required at least five days in advance. Let our staff help you determine whether a group or private lesson would best accommodate your needs. Call 406-862-2900, or visit the Ski & Ride School desk at the Base Lodge Tickets & Information, located in the Base Lodge on level 2.

Private Lessons - Full Day

6 hours, 9am—3pm or 10am—4pm. Up to 5 People (Child private lessons for students aged 3-6 are limited to 3 participants) All first time skiers and snowboarders in our private lessons receive a complimentary beginner lift ticket with lesson. Call 406-862-2900 for more information.

9am—12pm or 1pm—4pm. Up to 5 People. All first time skiers and snowboarders in our private lessons receive a complimentary beginner lift ticket with lesson. Call 406-862-2900 for more information.

Ski/Ride & Play - Half Day

Learning environment for ages 3-6. 9am—12pm or 1pm—4pm. Program includes on-snow lesson with small group sizes, supervised break time as needed, lift ticket and daily gear storage. Please arrive at 9am, or 1pm for the afternoon-only session, as classes start on snow as soon as they are ready. Groups are formed inside by ability level as kids arrive. Check in at the Kid’s Center, located in the Base Lodge, level 2. Call 406-862-1999 for more information.
