Nate Chute Banked Slalom & Boardercross

March 16, 2019 - March 17, 2019

2019 Nate Chute Results

Join us for the 20th Annual Nate Chute, the second longest running snowboard banked slalom in the US, and the third longest in North America. It’s a ‘Contest for a Cause’ — the event is a great supporter of suicide prevention among young people in Montana. The cash purse for the event is $4,000 and proceeds help to raise money for a great cause. The overall winners of the Open Men's and Open Women's divisions earn an entry to next year's Mt. Baker Legendary Banked Slalom. Pre-registration is required and closes at noon on Friday, March 15th.

An extra special thanks goes out to Stumptown Snowboards for being fantastic contributors to this long-standing event.

Saturday - Day 1 - Banked Slalom
Saturday will be a banked slalom through a super fun, hand-built banked slalom course in George's Gorge and under Chair 7. Best time wins and seeds racers for the Sunday SBX. Each rider takes 2 timed runs, helmets are mandatory.

Sunday - Day 2 - Boarder Cross
Sunday is one of the biggest boardercross events in the Northwest with 100 riders competing for the title and coolest trophies around. Two to five riders race through a great course consisting of jumps banks rollers and traffic. Helmets are required.

THE CONTEST FOR A CAUSE
This is what sets the Nate Chute apart from other snowboard events. It is a contest for a cause. Here is the lineup of fundraising opportunities for the Nate Chute Foundation, a local non-profit corporation that is dedicated to suicide prevention among young people in Montana.

Friday, March 15
5-8pm
Hawaiian Classic Luau and Calcutta at Bonsai Brewing. Back by popular demand, and with a throwback Hawaiian theme, we're auctioning off riders to the highest bidder. Don't miss music by JC, Hawaiian themed food and the release of a brand new beer. Plus, a custom 20th Annual Nate Chute Notice snowboard up for grabs.

Saturday, March 16
Live music and NCF Benefit Night at the Bierstube. During and after the Banked Slalom Awards, the 'Stube is donating a portion of proceeds to NCF.

Sunday, March 17
Community Night at Mackenzie River. Dine in or take out and they will donate a portion of proceeds to NCF.

This Contest for a Cause raises money for the Nate Chute Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to suicide prevention in western Montana. Competitors are encouraged to sign up for the Crowdrise campaign to raise funds for the NCF. Competitors who raise $300 or more will have their entry fee reimbursed at registration on March 16th. Contest pre-registration is required regardless of Crowdrise participation.
