Montana Special Olympics Winter Games
Athletes from around the state gather in Whitefish for the 21st annual Montana Special Olympics. Special Olympics athletes will compete in alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing & snowshoeing events. Athletes train all year, and we expect hundreds of athletes to join us in Whitefish each winter.
*All events have been moved to Whitefish Mountain Resort*
Event Schedule:
Feb 28, 4 to 5:30 pm: Opening Ceremonies and a parade on Central Ave. in Whitefish, ending at Depot Park.
Feb 29: First day of competition, this day serves as a qualifying round.
* 10 am to 1 pm: Slalom and Glide time trials
* 1 to 3 pm: Slalom Finals
* 10 am to 3 pm: Cross Country time trials
* 10 am to 3 pm: Snowshoe events
* 7 pm torchlight parade on Chipmunk run
* 7 to 9 pm: Closing Ceremony and Carnival at the Base Lodge
March 1, 7:30 am to 3 pm: Finals
