Hellroaring Ski Heritage Days

Join us for a Gala Retro-Weekend to celebrate our skiing heritage. The weekend's activities benefit the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation & Ski Heritage Center Museum of Skiing.

Schedule:
Friday, March 17

Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Reception
6 pm at the O'Shaughnessy Center

6 - 7 PM: Social hour & light buffet
7 PM: Program and presentation by Canadian Olympic Ski Champion Jungle Jim Hunter

2017 Inductees:
Russ Street - Founding Director of Winter Sports, Inc. aka Big Mountain and key community supporter for original ski resort development.
Roy Duff - Founding Director of Winter Sports, Inc. aka Big Mountain, former Whitefish Mayor and long-time regional transportation promoter. 
Al Raddatz - Long-time Big Mountain ski instructor and "Head Instructor" in winter months; Bulldozed many favorite ski runs into skiable terrain in summer.

Cost: $35 per person.

Saturday, March 18

Retro Ski Day
8 - 10 AM: Ski-A-Thon registration (Ski to raise money for FVSEF and the Ski Heritage Center) and Retro Race registration at Ed & Mully’s.

9 AM - 4 PM: Ski-A-Thon

11 AM - 1 PM: Billy Barnum Retro Race on Nice Day

12 - 1:30 PM: Heritage BBQ at T-Bar 1

3:15 PM: Vintage Outfit Contest Judging at the Summit House

4 PM: Grand Promenade on Toni Matt

4:30 - 5:30 PM: Tall-Tales Rime Cocktail Hour & awards at Hellroaring Saloon
