First Time Lesson Package
New to snow sports? This experience is for you. Learn the fundamentals of skiing or snowboarding with a morning lesson, then break for lunch and regroup with your instructor in the afternoon for more coaching and practice.
This package includes one day of lessons and equipment rentals, as well as a beginner area lift ticket! Plus, graduates of this package receive a free frequent skier card and discounts on lift tickets, rentals and additional lessons for the rest of the season!

After completing the morning and afternoon lessons, graduates of the First Time Lesson Package will receive the following perks during the 2025/26 ski season:
A free frequent skier card for the remainder of the season!
Discounts on lift tickets — $83 a day for adults and even less for other age groups!
50% off group lessons for the same discipline (not valid Dec. 25, 2025-Jan. 4, 2026, and Feb. 14-16, 2026)
50% off gear rentals for the same discipline (not valid Dec. 25, 2025-Jan. 4, 2026, and Feb. 14-16, 2025)
Things to know:
Eligibility: The First Time Lesson Package is for first-time skiers or snowboarders only, ages 7 and older. No exceptions.
Times: Morning lessons start on snow at 10 a.m. Afternoon sessions start after lunch. Please plan to arrive early to pick up your equipment from Base Lodge Rentals, which opens at 8:30 a.m. daily.
Lunch: Complimentary lunch is provided for juniors. Adults break for lunch at a time designated by their instructor based on the needs of the participant or group.
Perks: Graduate perks are only for new participants who complete both the morning and afternoon lessons. Perks may not be transferred to anyone other than the participant. Anyone who has held a Whitefish Mountain Resort season pass is ineligible for graduate perks. Perks are valid only during the ski season in which the initial lessons are taken.
Booking: First Time Lesson Packages must be booked online. We are unable to reserve these lessons by phone.
Cancellations: Full refunds are available only if you speak directly with a representative by phone or in person at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson start time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the lesson will incur a $25 fee. No-shows or failure to contact us before the lesson will not be refunded. No exceptions.
