Nate Chute Banked Slalom & Boardercross

March 17, 2018 - March 18, 2018

2018 NC Results

Join us for the 19th Annual Nate Chute, the second longest running snowboard banked slalom in the US, and the third longest in North America. It’s a "Contest for a Cause" --the event is a great supporter of suicide prevention among young people in Montana. The cash purse for the event is $4,000 and proceeds help to raise money for a great cause. An extra special thanks goes out to Stumptown Snowboards for being fantastic contributors to this longstanding event.

Day 1: Banked Slalom

Saturday will be a banked slalom through the trees (skier's right of the Goat Haunt boardercross course) into George's Gorge. Best time wins and seeds racers for the Sunday boardercross. Each rider takes 2 runs, helmets are mandatory.

Day 2: Boardercross

Sunday is one of the biggest boardercross events in the Northwest with more than 100 riders competing for the title and coolest trophies around. Two to five riders race through a great course consisting of jumps, banks, rollers and traffic. The top two riders advance to the next round and each rider has at least two chances before being eliminated. Helmets are required.

Spectators
These events are located on the backside of the mountain to take advantage of George’s Gorge, a super cool natural feature that serves as a natural halfpipe over 1/3 mile long. The course is only accessible by skier/boarder traffic and is located on intermediate terrain.

Volunteers
We need help! We are looking for intermediate skiers/snowboarders who would like to earn a lift ticket for the day you help and for another day within the next year! We need help course marshalling on the day of the races, but also building the banked slalom course alongside our events crew. If you would like to help, please contact us at events@skiwhitefish.com or 406.862.2910
