Snow Report update by Margot: Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026: 6:45 a.m. report: I hope you all are discovering the magic of curling and becoming women’s hockey fans alongside me as the Winter Olympics continue. All I’m saying is I might be a little bit inspired. Don’t be surprised if you see me throwing triple backflips in the park later today after watching Big Air. Last night we didn’t get any new snow, although we did collect a trace amount of snow in the past 24 hours. Our settled base is hanging on at 66 inches and providing us with some excellent backside turns. The temperature high for the day is 30 degrees at the summit and 38 degrees at the base. You don’t even need to go to Milan to participate in luge! We have a few spots up here on the frontside that are skiing a bit like a luge track. The current temperature trend is putting us in a freeze-thaw cycle, so look out for hard conditions this morning, especially on any front-facing aspect of the mountain. This includes the Hellroaring Basin and the East Rim to the North Bowl Face. I do not recommend off-piste skiing anywhere other than the backside after testing it out yesterday, but proceed with caution, as turns back there are still pretty stiff off of groomers. Seriously, though, please be careful and ski within your limits, and take extra caution on the frontside. Conditions are becoming spotty, with exposed obstacles such as sticks, shrubbery, and rocks that require quick thinking to dodge if you’re going too fast. Areas that haven’t been groomed are feeling |
