Located in the lower level of the Summit House and operated and staffed by the Flathead National Forest, the Summit Nature Center is a must do for families to learn about our forest and its local flora and fauna.

Bring your nature questions, explore the many hands-on displays, get hiking and bear safety tips, and discover what’s blooming.

Kids and families, check-out the Jr. Forest Ranger program and borrow a nature discovery pack for outdoor exploring. And ask about our ‘Roving Ranger’ nature discovery walks being provided on an on-demand basis.
