“Relaxing, educating and exhilarating” – a few words used by guests to describe Walk in the Treetops. This 2.5-hour guided nature walk offers a unique view of the forest from its elevated boardwalk in the treetop canopy. Knowledgeable guides provide interpretation of the local ecosystem and forest stewardship on the half-mile hike to the boardwalk. The trail features many of northwestern Montana’s unique flora and wildlife sightings are possible.

Walk in the Treetops is one of only a few treetop canopy experiences available in North America and was the first of its kind in the United States. The elevated 700-ft. long boardwalk reaches a peak height of 70 ft. above the forest floor. Guests wear harnesses and are redundantly secured to cables. A safety talk and training are provided by the guides at the beginning of the tour.
