SUMMIT NATURE CENTER They know their pines & critters.
The Summit Nature Center is a cooperative between the Flathead National Forest and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Located on the lower level of the Summit House, the Nature Center is a fun and educational experience for adults and kids alike. Test your knowledge of animal footprints, view a video on avalanches or learn about outdoor winter safety. Children ages 8-12 are invited to become Junior Snow Rangers (a free title that includes an official badge and certificate) by completing an activity book obtained at the nature center. Using the activity book kids can be a snowflake sleuth, discover how animals survive the winter and learn about winter safety and the science of snow.
