Saying Farewell to the Whitefish Mountain Resort App

With the release of iOS 11, many of you are asking when we’re going to update our app.  We stopped doing maintenance on it, and it sort of limped along for a while, but now it’s officially gone. While we all have good memories with the app, it’s time to say goodbye.

Here’s the good news: you may have noticed that we rolled out a new responsive website. That makes it easier than ever to browse our website on your phone or tablet.

We know, you don’t want to type in “skiwhitefish.com” in your mobile browser and then navigate to the webcams, or snow report, or vertical tracker, or whatever your favorite page is.

More good news: you don’t have to! You can save your favorite page right to your home screen on your iPhone or Android and a little fish icon will stay there, just like the app used to. When you want to see the webcams, all you have to do is click that fish and you’ll be staring at the snow in no time.

Here’s how to do this on an iPhone:

Step 1: Navigate to your favorite page via your phone’s web browser. Example: skiwhitefish.com/snowreport

Step 2: Click the box with the arrow on the bottom of your screen.

Step 3: Click “Add to Home Screen”

Step 4: Rename this to whatever you want, and then click “Add”

Step 5: Hooray! The snow report lives right on your home screen where you can access it with just one tap anytime you’d like.

Here’s how to do this on an Android:

Step 1: Navigate to your favorite page via your phone’s web browser. Example: skiwhitefish.com/snowreport

Step 2: Click those 3 dots in the upper right-hand corner.

Step 3: Click “Add to Home screen”

Step 4: Name it whatever you want.

Step 5: Hooray! The snow report lives right on your home screen where you can access it with just one tap anytime you’d like.
