Today's Deep Thoughts:

10:00am The corduroy is smooth and the sun is shining bright. What a great way to start off the Winter Carnival Weekend. Come up and make some turns today while you have the slopes to yourself.

6:00am It took a while for the sun to come out yesterday but that will not be a problem today. A High Pressure is setting in to the valley which means there will be an abundance of sunshine over the next few days. Bring up the carving skis and enjoy a perfect day for ripping smooth corduroy under clear skies.

Use today's great visibility to explore the 3000 of terrain we have here at the resort. There will be plenty of soft snow and even fresh turns to find so grab a ski buddy and go for it. This is a weekend to celebrate and remember how much fun this sport is. Be sure to make some turns, laugh a lot, and smile as you get to cruise around in the Sunshine.

It is Winter Carnival time this week in Whitefish so be sure to get your party boots on and enjoy a full weeks worth of activities. From Fireworks to Rail Jams and everything in between it will be a fun week up here at the resort. Events

Party time, excellent. Big Dave

Your Responsibility Code

Skiing can be enjoyed in many ways. At ski areas you may see people using alpine, snowboard, telemark, cross country and other specialized ski equipment, such as that used by disabled or other skiers. Regardless of how you decide to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code listed below and share with other skiers the responsibility for a great skiing experience.
  • Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects.
  • People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.
  • You must not stop where you obstruct a trail, or are not visible from above.
  • Whenever starting downhill or merging into a trail, look uphill and yield to others.
  • Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment.
  • Observe all posted signs and warnings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas.
  • Prior to using any lift, you must have the knowledge and ability to load, ride and unload safely.

KNOW THE CODE. IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

This is a partial list. Be safety conscious.
